New Year, New Hair, and…

Hello lovelies! I just wanted to jump on here real quick and give you a quick update. At the tail end of Blogmas, I started to fight a cold that has only in the last week gotten worse. In preparation for the new year and Christmas, I went and chopped off about 8 inches of my hair. I love my new hair cut. It has cut down my getting ready time literally in half! My hair takes about 3-5 minutes to blow dry. Before it took at least 20-25 minutes. I was able to wash, blow-dry, do my full morning routine and ready for work in just 45 minutes! I can’t wait to see how my shorter hair curls and handles a tousled wave. img_2389 Have a happy and healthy New Year! See you in my next post!

Happy New Year and 2017 Goals

Hello lovelies! We have made it to the end of 2016. This year for me has had its up and downs. However, I have learned a lot about life, love, myself, and the world around me. I have a better understanding of who I am and the path that I want to take in life. When the new year rolls around, I make goals for myself, not resolutions. I make goals for the year and every month make monthly goals to help me stay on track. What Blogmas has taught me is that I can do a lot of things and stay on a schedule while still living life. So today I am sharing with you what my 2017 yearly goals are.

2017 Goals

  • lose weight/tone up
  • find a second/or full time job
  • create and maintain a better and healthier lifestyle
  • save a specific amount of money (amount yet to be determined)
  • buy blog domain & blog more consistently (establish a schedule & stick w/ it)

There you have it, my 2017 goals. I hope you enjoyed this post. What are your goals for 2017? Share below in the comments. I would love to read what yours are. Have a happy, healthy and prosperous new year!

Project Pan Finale!!

Hello lovelies! So today I’m giving you the last update on my Project Pan. Let me get the bad news out of the way first. I did not reach my goal of finishing 10 out of the 15 products that I chose. I believe that I chose too many challenging items to try and complete in the time frame that I gave myself. On the other hand I think I balanced it out with enough products that I would be able or should have finished. Although I was not successful, I learned a lot about the way I use items. I am looking forward to do many more project pans. So let me go through everything.

Completely Finished

Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizer

It’s a 10 Leave-In Conditioner

Garnier Blackhead Eliminating Scrub

Blistex Silk & Shine

Tree Hut Shea Sugar Scrub in Tropical Mango

2016 Favorites

Hello lovelies! I am sharing with you my favorites from over the course of 2016. I don’t have too many favorites, but they’re a good mix of things I’ve been using for years and some that while not necessarily brand new to the market are completely new to me. All of these products have changed my life and I try to use them as much as possible.

img_2360Foundation and Concealer:

  • Maybelline Fit me! foundation Dewy + Smooth in 125 Nude Beige (my summer shade)
  • Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles in Neutralizer; great for my under eyes!

img_2359Powders and Tools:

  • E.L.F. High Definition Powder in Sheer: used to set my concealer under my eyes
  • Real Techniques Setting Brush: used with powder for my under eyes
  • Real Techniques Expert Face Brush: used with liquid foundation that doesn’t work well with my Beauty Blender
  • NARS Bronzer/Blush Duo in Laguna and Orgasm: my go to blush and bronzer

img_2365Eyes and Lips:

  • Maybelline Brow Drama in Deep Brown: great for quick run out the door days
  • NYX Butter Gloss in Creme Brulee

That’s all for my 2016 favorites. This year has been such an adventure and I can’t wait to see what will be in my favorites for 2017. Have a great day! See you in my next post!

What I Got for Christmas 2016

Hello lovelies! I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas holiday. Today I’m sharing with you everything that I received for Christmas. I want to preface everything with: I’m not sharing this to brag with what I got. If anything, it is quite the opposite. I would much rather find the perfect gift for someone else.  To keep this post from getting too long, let’s jump in.

As I was working on this post, I realized I didn’t include the Jingle Bell Berry Hand Cream, Warm Vanilla Sugar Body Lotion, and a winter mug fill with peppermints, candy canes and candy, an all natural honey and oats scented soap, and body mitt.

I truly feel blessed, and am lucky to receive gifts that I absolutely love. I hope that you all had a wonderful day with your family. I’ll see you in my next post.
