Huge Sephora Haul!!!

Hello lovelies! Welcome back! Today I’m sharing with you everything that I’ve picked up from Sephora over the last couple of months and also some things I received for Christmas. This is stuff that has been purchased over the course of two or three shopping trips. Let’s jump right and see what I picked up.

Let’s start with eyeshadow palettes. I’m almost ashamed to share the eye palettes that I’ve picked up. Not because of what I picked up but the number of palettes that I purchased. First there is the Make Up For Ever Lustrous Shadow Palette. I picked this up because the red/cranberry shades. Next I picked up the Becca Apres Ski Glow Collection Eye Lights Palette. This palette I purchased by accident. I thought that this was a highlight palette and not an eye palette. It does look pretty and I think I will be keeping this. Next I got the ColourPop Take Me Home Eye Shadow Palette. I thought this would be a great travel option. Next I picked up the Smashbox Dawn In. Decked Out. Shadow + Highlighting Kit. I picked this up purely because I have been wanting the pearl highlight palette and I wanted to try out the cover shot eye shadows. I also picked up the Anastasia Prism Eye Shadow Palette. The colors in this palette were unique and I don’t have anything like this. There is also the ColourPop Golden State of Mind that I picked up. The last two items are the Stila Eye for Elegance Liquid Eye Shadow Set and the L’Oreal Telescopic mascara in Carbon Black. The Stila set, I had my eye on just about the entire holiday season and when I saw it in store, I knew that I needed it. The L’Oreal Telescopic mascara, clearly isn’t from Sephora, but I picked it up based on the fact that I have been hearing about it for years and was never able to find it in store. I just happened to come across this last tube on the shelf at my local Target and grabbed it.

I also picked up a few face items, that strangely focus on contouring, bronzing, and highlighting. The other thing that they have in common is that they are all made by Tarte. I first picked up the Pro Glow To Go. I thought that this would be perfect for traveling. I also picked up the Park Ave Princess Chisel Palette, and the Limited-Edition Goddess Glow Highlighter. Both items had my eye on for quite some time. I know the chisel palette is relatively new but every time I saw it I would put it in my cart and then take it out again.

Next up I purchased a couple of skincare items. I repurchased the smaller size of the Glamglow Supermud Clearing treatment. Also by Glamglow I picked up the Gravitymud Firming treatment to try out. As 100 point perks, I chose my favorite cleanser by Philosophy the Purity made simple, and by Sunday Riley Good Genes.

Now if you’ve seen my makeup collection posts or even my declutter posts, you’ll know that I have more than enough lip products. As you can tell I stocked up lip balm. I get these as a gift just about every year from a family friend. I think I haven’t bought any lip balm in at least four or five years. I received three of my favorite silk & shine, a conditioning lip serum, two ultra-rich hydration dual-layer balm, dual pack of medicated lip ointment, and two deep renewal lip balms.  Two more drugstore finds that I picked up. The first is the Revlon Kiss Plumping Lip Creme in Nude Honey. I haven’t seen anyone talk about this or review, so I’m intrigued to see how this will work. The next item is the Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner in Red Diva. I picked this up because of the next item. My boyfriend gave me the Dior Rouge Dior Lipstick in 999 Matte, which is a classic red. The last lip products that I picked up from Sephora is the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Liquified Lip Set. This was one of their holiday lip sets they came out with this year, and I’ve been really wanting to try out their liquid lips.

This last group of products are items that I received for Christmas. I got Gilmore Girls: A Year in Review. Gilmore Girls has a special place in my heart, and when I came across this in Best Buy, my boyfriend picked it up for me. I also received a makeup organizer with gold trim, an Apple TV, and not pictured because I don’t know where I placed it was Chrissy Teigen’s Cravings cookbook. As you can see I had a huge haul this time around and it made me hit the Rouge level, so I received the 56.5 mini brush.

Whew! If you’re still reading, you’ve reached the end. Thank you for staying with me during the long post. This was a huge haul and I’m excited to dig in and really start using everything. If you want to see a review or a first impression, or in a look, let me know! I’m always taking suggestions, and would love to hear from you. That’s everything. I hope that you all have a wonderful week and I’ll see you in my next post.

December Play! by Sephora Unboxing

Hello lovelies! Today I’m sharing everything that came in my December Play box. December’s box I think had the perfect combination of products. I really like watching Sephora’s YouTube channel when they release the monthly Play box video. I do have to say the options for the box this month are amazing. The theme for this months is GLAM STRAIGHT; perfect for the holiday season. Time to jump in to what I got.

First up is the Peter Thomas Roth 24K Gold Pure Luxury Lift & Firm Prism Cream. I’m intrigued by this product. It can be used as an all over face cream to give your skin some radiance, or as a highlighter. Which I’m assuming if it can be used in both ways it would give you more of a subtle highlight. I would think it would be perfect for a more natural, glow from within look. Retails: $42

Next there is the Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Wheat. This is an eye primer, which I think the shade will be perfect for my skin tone. I also think that I can get away with just using this on my eyes, set it, throw a slightly deeper shade into the crease, mascara and go. I’m excited to try this one out. Retails: $28

Staying on eyes for another minute. I got the Smashbox Cover Shot Eye Shadow Duo in Golden Hour. The two shades are Turned On and Psyched. I’m so happy that these shades were chosen. They can be worn by just about everyone and can be used together or all over the lid by itself. Retails:$29

For lips, I received the Anastasia Beverly Hills lip gloss in Vintage. It is a beautiful rosy, pink shade with a rose gold/pink micro glitter. It reminds me of one of the BareMinerals GenNude liquid lipsticks, I can’t remember the shade. I’m excited to use this. I think once I go through a few other lip glosses, I will definitely use this. It is a perfect everyday shade. Retails $16

Next I have a hair product by Drybar. It is their Triple Sec 3-in-1.  I have used this in the past and I loved it. I have been wanting to repurchase this, but I just haven’t gotten around to it. I’m interested to see if I will still love this. I will use this the next time I actually do my hair and isn’t up in a messy bun. Retails: $26, $13

Last up is the Tom Ford Black Orchid Eau De Parfum. I am so beyond excited to get a sample of this. Perfume is such a personal choice and it is expensive. It is also an item that is difficult to test out to see what you like, how long it will last on you, how it works with your body chemistry, etc. This scent has been hyped up a lot all over social media over the years. This is warm and floral, and dark and sexy. At first I was not a fan of it, but it is starting to grow on me. I will use this on my next night out and see how it works. Retails: $171, $122, $84, $45

That’s everything that came in my December Play box. I hope you enjoyed this post. I really enjoy doing this kind of post. If you want me to continue to do this kind of post, let me know. Do you subscribe to the Sephora Play box? What other subscription boxes do you receive? It doesn’t have to be strictly beauty. Let me know, I would love to hear from you. Have a great weekend!

My Go to Fall Look

Hello lovelies! Welcome back! Today I’m sharing my go to daytime look for fall. I’ve worn this look running errands, going to work and everything in between. With this look I am able to complete it in about 10-15 minutes.  If I’m running really late, I will eliminate a few steps, such as the eye brow pencil, the eye shadow, and sometimes even the mascara.

On my face:

  • Smashbox Photo Finish Pore Minimizing Primer
  • Becca Backlight Priming Filter
  • Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation in Soft Beige

On my eyes:

  • Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Eden
  • Mac eyeshadow in Soft Brown
  • Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Pencil in Perversion in the water line
  • Urban Decay Perversion Mascara

On my brows:

  • E.L.F. brow pencil in Neutral Brown
  • Maybelline BrowDrama Sculpting Brow Mascara in Deep Brown

On my lips:

  • Blistex Silk & Shine Lip Balm

  • NYX butter gloss in Creme Brulee

  • Maybelline Color Jolt Lip Paint in 05 Stripped Down

I’ve been bouncing around between the three different lip options. For the most part I would choose depending on the happenings of the day. If I’m going to work during the day I’ll opt for the lip balm or lip gloss. If I am working an evening even I will go for the lip paint.

That’s everything for my everyday fall make up look.  What is your go to look? Have you already written a post about it? Share it in the comments. I would love to check it out. Have a great weekend and I’ll see you in my next post!

April Play! by Sephora Unboxing

Hello everyone! It’s that time of the month again where I show you what I got in my Sephora Play box. This month’s theme is Step It Up. Everything that came in this month’s box is meant to step up your makeup, skin care, hair care, etc. This month’s box I was excited but a little underwhelmed. Let’s start out on a good note, and share the items I was excited to receive.

I was really excited to see the Sephora Collection waterproof eye make up remover. I heard that this is comparable to the Neutrogena eye make up remover, which is my go to remover. I’m looking forward to see how the Sephora one compares to the Neutrogena one. Retails: $7.50-$15

Next up we have the Philosophy Purity facial cleanser. I have used this in the past and works amazing with my facial cleanser brush. It cleans my skin well with and without the cleanser brush. When I finished up my previous bottle I knew that when it was time to buy another face wash, I would repurchase this one. The one thing I’m not such a fan of is the scent. It is a fresh flowery scent. It doesn’t smell horrible, but it is definitely not my favorite. I am willing to look past this just because it does such a great job at cleansing my skin. Retails: $11-$55

The last item that I am really looking forward to trying out is the Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Serum. I am constantly looking for different things that will help improve the texture and balance out the moisture in my skin. I am hoping that this isn’t too heavy for my skin. Anything that is too heavy always results in my face being an oily mess. I don’t know too much about this product, but I am very interested in learning more. Retails: $65Now, on to the products I’m neither here nor there about. First there is the Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliner in M10, which is their black. The one thing that I like and dislike about the brand is that they use a letter and number system. As far as the product itself. I already have about 4 black eyeliners that are currently waiting in my stash. It will probably be awhile til I actually try this out. I would like to try this out in a waterproof makeup test post, and see how well this holds up. Retails: $21

The other product is the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer. I had use this primer a few years ago, and I didn’t hate it but I didn’t love it. Part of it was not knowing really what I was looking for in a primer. Now that I am more knowledgeable about my skin and what I’m looking for, I’m interested in seeing how this will work for me. Retails: $16-$49

Last up is the one item that I am definitely passing on to someone else. It is the Miu Miu L’eau Bleue. I love the smell of lilies, but in this specific fragrance, it is extremely strong. I think if you really love floral scents and it works with your body chemistry then I think you really enjoy this. The fragrance sample this month missed the mark for me. Retails: $28-$118

That is everything. I hope you enjoyed peeking into my bag this month. This was probably my least favorite box that I have received. If you haven’t noticed Sephora has somewhat customized the boxes each month. Everyone can receive one of 2 or 3 different fragrance, beauty, skin care or hair care samples. I think this adds a nice touch to the experience. Overall, I think the Sephora Play box is a great value. You get decent size samples, however sometimes I wish the some skin care items were a bit larger so you can get a little bit of a better idea if you like the product. That’s all for today. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. See you in my next post, where I share what I got from the Sephora VIB spring sale.
