July Play! by Sephora

Hello lovelies! Before we get too far into August I want to share with you everything that came in this months Play box. I love the hot pink popsicle on the little bag. I’m really excited about this box. There are definitely a couple of products that I’ve been wanting to try out.

July Play 2016

Products

Nest Citrine .04 oz.- Full Size 1.7 Retails: $68

First Aid Beauty 1.0 oz.- Full Size 4.7 oz. Retails: $24

That’s everything that came in my July box. I love that the Blotterazzi also included a sample of the liquid cleanser, so its kind of like you get a 2-in-1 product. I also really love that the OUAI way spray came in a size that is actually sold in Sephora stores. I’m excited to try out the Too Faced bronzer and First Aid Beauty cleanser. If you want me to also include what each item would actually cost if it were sold in stores, let me know.  Have a great week! See you in my next post!

June Play! by Sephora Unboxing

Hello lovelies! I have the worst luck with technology. This is possibly my fifth time writing this post. Let’s jump right in! I just have to say that I am really enjoying this subscription box. I can see where some people who have larger beauty arsenal may not think this subscription is much, but as someone on a budget, I love this! The June box is called The Minimalists.

This month’s box contains:

bareMinerals Bareskin Sheer Sun Serum Bronzer

Benefit They’re Real Mascara

Bumble and Bumble Don’t blow it hairstyler

Becca Backlight Priming Filter

Tarte Tarteguard SPF 30

Tocca Eau de Parfum in Florence

June Play 2016

Overall, I am extremely happy with this box. These are items definitely live up to the theme of the box. With the hot weather most of us gals have our hair tied up and don’t do much to it. I haven’t put much effort into my hair the last few months, including not blow drying it. I’m really excited to try out the Bumble and Bumble styler, the Becca primer and the bareMinerals serum bronzer(especially since I have a tan now). I tried out the Tarteguard on my face because the sunscreen that I have is not good for face, and I absolutely loved it! I intend to use this solely on my face and buy the full size when I’m done. When it comes to the Benefit They’re Real mascara, I just absolutely love this. I was actually needing a new tube of it specifically for a wedding that I was standing up in this past weekend, but I also use this whenever I want my lashes to look like I have falsies on.

That is all for now. I hope you enjoyed this post. If you want to see the makeup looks that I did for the wedding rehearsal and the wedding let me know in the comments. Have a great week! See you in my next post.

May Play! by Sephora Unboxing

Hello Lovelies! Today I am finally sharing my May Play! by Sephora box. I know this post is coming quite late. I asked on Twitter if any of you still wanted to see this post, and some of you still wanted to see it. So let’s crack into the box. I should’ve taken a video of me trying to figure out how to open the box. Kudos to Sephora for using black and white striped tape and placing it exactly to match the stripes on the box. So when I finally got into the box, I saw the booklet that contains all the information about what is in the box and under that a cute little bag that contained everything.

The first thing that I pulled out of the bag was the Atelier Cologne in the scent Orange Sanguine. It comes in the little sample jar without a spray top. There is also a postcard inside the packaging. the description says that there is notes of sweet blood orange and bitter orange peel, with a hint of geraniums. This seems to have a strong citrusy, orange scent, so if you like that I say go for it. This can also be an amazing scent for the summer.

Next I pulled out the Origins Maskimizer. This product should be applied as a primer for whatever face mask that you are putting on. They also included a sample of the Drink Up and Clear Improvement Masks. I think I’ve said this in another post, but I am starting to get really into skincare and taking care of my skin. I’m super excited to be trying this out.

I loved other Korres items that I have tried out in the past and I’ve had my eye on the Wild Rose Advanced Brightening Sleeping Facial for a little while now. I’ve used the Greek Yoghurt Advanced Nourishing Sleeping Facial in the past instead of a moisturizer and I can’t say enough. The only thing I don’t like about it is there is a strong floral scent to it. It’s not a horrible scent but it is very strong.

Next up is the Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! deep conditioning mask. I don’t have much experience with hair masks. I’ve used one in the past and I was happy with how my hair looked and felt afterwards. I’m thinking that this will be good for the summer, especially since I pretty much live in the pool all summer.

The last two items are lip products. First up is the Tarte Tarteist lip liner in Latergram. I’m super excited to try this out, but I’m not going to lie, I was a little bummed that it wasn’t a full size liner. The color of it is great and something I will definitely use. Last but not least is the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstic in Kimchi. This color is a fantastic hot pink shade, perfect for the summer. The color is definitely out of my comfort zone, BUT I am trying wear more lip colors that I don’t normally wear.

That’s what was in my May Sephora Play! box. I hope you enjoyed this post. Stay tuned for a new post next week. If you want me to do a full review of each product from each box, let me know! I hope you all have a great weekend!

April Play! by Sephora Unboxing

Hello lovelies! For the past year or so, I had been patiently waiting for Sephora to release their Play? subscription box to the rest of the country. When I received the e-mail to join the subscription, I was definitely super excited. At the time to sign-up for the box, it is by invite only. I’m not sure if it is open to everyone yet, but I’ll keep an eye out and find out for you. For $10/month plus tax, which for me was less than a dollar, you get a box of 5-6 deluxe sample sizes of different products. You must subscribe for the monthly box, and it is not available for a single month purchase.

The theme of April’s box is ‘The It Crowd.’ When I first opened the box there is the little booklet that lists everything that comes in the box. Each product has a description of what it is and explanation on how to use it. The booklet also provides some information of what you can pair each item with. Lastly, the back page includes a Play Pass that can be brought into a Sephora location for a one on one session. If you bring in this card and make a purchase you will also receive a bonus of 50 points. Let’s get into the products!

When I opened up the tissue paper the first thing that I noticed was the Milk Sunshine Oil. I haven’t gotten really into oils because they honestly scare me a bit. I am looking forward to try this multi-purpose product.

Derek Lam 10 Crosby 2am Kiss- This brand is relatively new to Sephora. I’m usually not excited when I receive perfume samples, but based on the description of this scent, I think I may like this. It is described as a blend of “salty woods and crystallized amber.”

Clinique Pep-start Eye Cream- I’ve been really wanting to step up my skincare game. I’ll admit that I get very lazy with cleansing my face. Now that I’m in my 30s, I’m starting to realize the importance of taking care of the skin. This eye cream is probably the thing that I’m most excited to test out.

Sunday Riley Good Genes Treatment- This item I have been wanting to try out for at least the last year. YouTubers all over the world are raving about this and am so happy that I can finally try this out. I’m not sure which one I’m more excited about trying out this or the Clinique eye cream. I will definitely post an update on how this works out for me.

Sephora Colorful Cheek Ink Gel in Peony- Trying out more Sephora brand items has been on my list for awhile now, and I’ve been bored with the blushes I currently have. Because this is a gel formula, I’m thinking that this will be great for a light, natural, dewy look for the summer months.

Lastly, there is the NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Rikugien. I already have a deluxe sample of this item. I love this shade and formula. I’m going to pass this on to my sister, because I don’t need 2 of these.

That’s all that came in my April Play! box. If you want a review or first impression on any of these items, let me know in the comments. Have a great week!
