Milk Makeup Sunshine Oil First Impressions

Hello everyone! Today I thought I’d share with you my first impressions of the Milk Makeup Sunshine Oil. I received this as part of a Sephora Play box, and I have had yet to use it. This is supposed to be your multi-use cure everything oil. You can use this on your body, face, and I think if you have extremely dry hair, I think this would work well on the ends too. The oil has has grapeseed and avocado oils, grapefruit peel, tangerine peel, mandarin, lemon peel, and other essential oils. It has a beautiful citrus scent, and the lemon is very prominent. The scent alone has me hooked.

I put a small drop in the palm of my hand and dipped my cuticles in it. I rubbed it in and it sinks in within a few seconds. There is no residue on my fingers and the oil doesn’t transfer on to anything that I touch. You can smell it a bit if your hands are near your face but it isn’t overpowering. When put into the bottom 2-3 inches of my hair, it adds moisture and smooths it out. I think my hair isn’t as dry as I thought it was because the ends looked slightly oily, but not bad. I would suggest to just put this lightly on the ends of your hair.

I think just about everyone would love using this in some capacity whether you use it on your body, face or hair. I chose not to test this out on my face because the skin on my face tends to be sensitive to certain things. Those are my thoughts. If you are interested, I suggest that you grab a sample first. If you have sensitive skin, I highly recommend that you test it out first before you purchase it. I do think that this is a good all around product and you should definitely check it out. Christmas Gift Ideas- What I Got Everyone for Christmas

Hello lovelies! I hope that you are all staying warm. Today I’m sharing what I got my friends and family for Christmas this year, and a few other ideas. Most of these are pretty budget friendly. I have a few items that are a little bit more expensive, but most of these are pretty affordable and won’t break the bank.

For my co-workers:

You can also add some hand lotion for the women or a little Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts gift card to this as well. I love this idea for coworkers or a small gift to keep on hand. Who doesn’t love a little chocolate, cold weather is the perfect time to burn a great smelling candle, and with winter comes chapped lips. I lose chapstick all the time, so giving one this time of the year is perfect!

For the men:

My brother is a huge Chicago Cubs fan. This Christmas, he asked to get him useful things. I know he loves his Keurig and while he said not to get anything Cubs related, I thought why not combine the two. A tumbler is a great gift or stocking stuffer for someone that is always on the run, it’s not just for the men! Another really good option for maybe a boyfriend or husband is cologne. My boyfriend currently has the Polo Black and I love how it smells on him. His bottle is almost finished and he mentioned awhile back that he really liked it and wanted another bottle.

TIP: Pay attention throughout the year! If you hear someone saying I really like this or I want this, maybe I’ll ask for it for my birthday, Christmas, etc. Make a mental note. Pick it up for them.

For the breakfast lover or foodie:

I love the pancake and syrup combo. This idea is a little bit of a wild card. I think that this is more of mom, aunt or uncle gift. It’s something different, looks a little special if it is packaged nicely. My idea behind this kind of gift is that it is unique

For friends, sisters, mom:

Water bottles, candles and mugs all make great gift ideas for a friend or a sister, even mom! For those ladies in your life that are more into beauty or skincare, this is where I suggest a little bit more, or where you will tend to spend a little bit more than you are planning. If you know a lovely gal that has been wanting to try out the Beauty Blender but they don’t see the point of spending $20 on a sponge, what a great time to get them a little treat! While I agree that the price is high, it has completely changed the way I apply makeup and absolutely love it! The same thing can be said for the GlamgGlow masks. They are a very pricey but to give it as a gift to one of the special ladies in your life is an extra special gift. It is also something that they may be considering getting or trying out but really wouldn’t treat themselves to it.

A few other gift suggestions:

makeup gift set
mug filled with everything to make a cup of hot cocoa
home-assembled manicure/pedicure kit
jewelry: I’m not talking about the expensive stuff, I’m talking about a cute dainty necklace, or a simple bracelet or earring and necklace set
sampler set; of anything! hot chocolates, hot sauce, seasonings, coffee, etc.

May Play! by Sephora Unboxing

Hello Lovelies! Today I am finally sharing my May Play! by Sephora box. I know this post is coming quite late. I asked on Twitter if any of you still wanted to see this post, and some of you still wanted to see it. So let’s crack into the box. I should’ve taken a video of me trying to figure out how to open the box. Kudos to Sephora for using black and white striped tape and placing it exactly to match the stripes on the box. So when I finally got into the box, I saw the booklet that contains all the information about what is in the box and under that a cute little bag that contained everything.

The first thing that I pulled out of the bag was the Atelier Cologne in the scent Orange Sanguine. It comes in the little sample jar without a spray top. There is also a postcard inside the packaging. the description says that there is notes of sweet blood orange and bitter orange peel, with a hint of geraniums. This seems to have a strong citrusy, orange scent, so if you like that I say go for it. This can also be an amazing scent for the summer.

Next I pulled out the Origins Maskimizer. This product should be applied as a primer for whatever face mask that you are putting on. They also included a sample of the Drink Up and Clear Improvement Masks. I think I’ve said this in another post, but I am starting to get really into skincare and taking care of my skin. I’m super excited to be trying this out.

I loved other Korres items that I have tried out in the past and I’ve had my eye on the Wild Rose Advanced Brightening Sleeping Facial for a little while now. I’ve used the Greek Yoghurt Advanced Nourishing Sleeping Facial in the past instead of a moisturizer and I can’t say enough. The only thing I don’t like about it is there is a strong floral scent to it. It’s not a horrible scent but it is very strong.

Next up is the Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! deep conditioning mask. I don’t have much experience with hair masks. I’ve used one in the past and I was happy with how my hair looked and felt afterwards. I’m thinking that this will be good for the summer, especially since I pretty much live in the pool all summer.

The last two items are lip products. First up is the Tarte Tarteist lip liner in Latergram. I’m super excited to try this out, but I’m not going to lie, I was a little bummed that it wasn’t a full size liner. The color of it is great and something I will definitely use. Last but not least is the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstic in Kimchi. This color is a fantastic hot pink shade, perfect for the summer. The color is definitely out of my comfort zone, BUT I am trying wear more lip colors that I don’t normally wear.

Halloween Look

Hi all! Today I’m sharing with you the look that I created for Halloween this past weekend. I wore a flapper costume that I had purchased for a show that I was in a few years ago. So I went on YouTube to see if I can find a look that was fairly simple and quick at the same time. My inspiration behind this look was taken from Jaclyn Hill’s Old Hollywood Glam tutorial. I used what products I had on hand, and went to town hoping that I can do a good enough job.

Let’s start from the “bottom” up. Starting with Primer. After I cleansed and moisturized my face, I used the Hourglass Mineral Veil all over my face, excluding the T-zone. In my T-zone I used Benefit’s Porefessional.

Bridal Shower Makeup Look

Hi Gals! Today I’m taking you through what I wore on my face to a friend’s bridal shower over the weekend. Before I get into everything that I used I have to say that I have had the worst luck with everything technology related. First, it was the internet, then computer, issues with WordPress, things were deleted, and today my phone finally crapped out on me. So FINALLY, I’m getting this post up!
