My Go to Fall Look

Hello lovelies! Welcome back! Today I’m sharing my go to daytime look for fall. I’ve worn this look running errands, going to work and everything in between. With this look I am able to complete it in about 10-15 minutes.  If I’m running really late, I will eliminate a few steps, such as the eye brow pencil, the eye shadow, and sometimes even the mascara.

On my face:

  • Smashbox Photo Finish Pore Minimizing Primer
  • Becca Backlight Priming Filter
  • Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation in Soft Beige

On my eyes:

  • Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Eden
  • Mac eyeshadow in Soft Brown
  • Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Pencil in Perversion in the water line
  • Urban Decay Perversion Mascara

On my brows:

  • E.L.F. brow pencil in Neutral Brown
  • Maybelline BrowDrama Sculpting Brow Mascara in Deep Brown

On my lips:

  • Blistex Silk & Shine Lip Balm

  • NYX butter gloss in Creme Brulee

  • Maybelline Color Jolt Lip Paint in 05 Stripped Down

I’ve been bouncing around between the three different lip options. For the most part I would choose depending on the happenings of the day. If I’m going to work during the day I’ll opt for the lip balm or lip gloss. If I am working an evening even I will go for the lip paint.

That’s everything for my everyday fall make up look.  What is your go to look? Have you already written a post about it? Share it in the comments. I would love to check it out. Have a great weekend and I’ll see you in my next post!

Project Pan and Products to Use Up in 2017 Update

Hello lovelies! Today I’m back with a long overdue update on the products that are in my project pan and products that I want to use up in 2017. I have used up a few items and made some progress on others. There is one item that I am just getting rid of because it just got old and smells weird.

Let’s start with the one item that I’m just getting rid of. I’m getting rid of the Victoria’s Secret Noir Tease. I’m getting rid of it because the scent changed and just doesn’t smell right. So because of that I’m no longer going to hold on to it.

The next few items are products that I have used up. I have used up the Benefit Porefessional Primer, the Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer, the Nivea A Kiss of Mint and Minerals Lip Balm, Simple Moisturizing Facial Wash, and the Aveeno Skin Relief Gentle Scent Lotion. I know I haven’t used up nearly as many items as I would like. The summer has been really hot, and I’ve been in the pool a lot. For me, it just didn’t make sense to put on make up and take it off an hour later.

The rest of the items I have made minimal progress. Like I said I haven’t worn much makeup over the summer and just recently started putting on a little bit of makeup in the last month. I mentioned in another post that in the Chicagoland area we are still in the 80s, which is basically give me the sunscreen and ditch the makeup.

The next group of items that I will probably finish up by the end of the year. I should be able to finish up the E.L.F. HD Under Eye Setting Powder, Maybelline The Falsies Push-Up Drama Waterproof Mascara, NYX butter gloss in Creme Brulee, Sally Hansen Instant Cuticle Remover, OPI Natural Nail Base Coat, Buxom Full-On Lip Cream in White Russian, and MAC All That Glitters eye shadow. I will let you know of Instagram if I finish up anything between now and my next update.  If there is anything that you want to see progress on that I’ve shown in the past, let me know.

I think that’s everything for today. If you would like for me to continue doing posts like these, let me know. I would love to hear from you! Have a great weekend! I will see you in my next post.

April 2017 Favorites

Hello lovelies! It’s that time of month again. It’s time for monthly favorites! This month has been quite busy for me. I have been adjusting to a new routine and lifestyle. If you want to know more about that I’d be more than willing to do weekly or bi-weekly updates. Let me know in the comments below. Anyways, let’s jump into what I’ve been loving this last month. I have been loving the Real Techniques brushes. The first brush is the shader brush from the enhanced eye kit. I know this isn’t meant to be used for the crease, but for a quick one or two shadow look, I love this. I typically use this with soft brown from MAC(another favorite for the month) in the outer corner and in the crease for a quick look. Next, there is the setting brush. I love using this to set my concealer under my eyes, and also with highlighter on my cheek bones. The next brush is the expert face brush. I love the brush but haven’t quite figured out a way to use it for the best look. It works well for foundation and bronzer, but currently not the foundation I’m using. Last there is the stippling brush. I love, love, love using this for blush. This brush plus Nars Orgasm blush is an amazing combo. I am curious as how it would work with foundation and bronzer.

For my non-tool favorites, I have the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Treatment Concealer. All I can say about this concealer is that it provides the perfect amount of coverage for me, it brightens, and it lasts all day. The Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer in Eden has been a game changer for me and my eye shadow. This has made my shadows stay on all day long and little to no creasing. The only time I notice there is creasing is if it has been an extremely long and hot day. Next up we have a deluxe sample of the Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant Mascara. I have never used this mascara before this tube. I’ve had this in my stash for well over a year, and surprisingly it wasn’t expired. This gives a great lengthening effect and a tiny bit of volume. Going by the name I don’t think it lives up to it, but for an everyday mascara this is fantastic. The Nivea a kiss of mint and minerals is the never ending lip balm. I feel like I have been using this for over a year and there is still more product. The last beauty product is the MAC eye shadow in soft brown. This is the perfect shade to just throw in the crease and outer corner, a little mascara and out the door.

This last item is a makeup bag. It’s small and narrow that is perfect for putting your brushes in for traveling or on the go. I’m not sure where this bag is from because it came in a set that I got for Christmas three years ago.

That’s everything I’ve been loving during the month of April. I have been using all of these products just about every day during the past month. They have made my mornings so easy. What have you been loving? Is there anything new that I should test out. Let me know! Have a great weekend and I’ll see you in my next post.

Project Pan Winter Edition~Update!

Hello everyone! Today is all about the progress that I’ve made with my project pan products. The guidelines were to finish or hit pan on 8 products by May 6th and give you at least one update. Let’s jump right in!

So far I have finished one product. I finished the Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer. I know in the glass it looks like there is still a bunch of product on the bottom. There really isn’t there is some that is on the side of the glass, but it’s a paint in the butt to get out. I liked this but I probably won’t be repurchasing any time soon.

The next group of products I feel will be used up by the time the last update comes around.

Nivea A Kiss of Mint & Minerals Lip Balm

Buxom Full-On Lip Cream in White Russian

Benefit the Porefessional Primer

MAC eye shadow in All That Glitters

These last few products, I may finish if I try really hard to consistently use them daily.

Victoria’s Secret Noir Tease

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Honey

Benefit Watts Up Highlighter

That’s everything that I have an update on. I will hopefully reach my goal of finishing 8 products by May 6th. Would you like me to do these project pans quarterly or seasonally? What do you think? Let me know in the comments. I would love to hear from you! Have a great week!

March Favorites

Hello everybody! Today I’m sharing everything that I have been loving this month. There are some beauty and some randoms. Just like everyone else says, I can’t believe how quickly March has gone by. March has been a rather busy month, but such a good month. Let’s jump right in!

Beauty & Skincare

Aveeno skin relief gentle scent lotion- This lotion has saved my hands and even cuticles throughout the month and even all through the winter.

Benefit Porefessional- As you know this is part of my Project Pan. For some reason, this doesn’t work with the two different foundations that I’ve been using. However, I have found a use for it.I use just a tiny bit in my t-zone and anywhere that I have larger pores, and that’s it. It just smooths out my skin, and great for a quick 5 minute look.

Nivea A Kiss of Mint & Minerals Lip Balm- I love this. It is nice and lasts quite long if you aren’t eating or drinking anything. I only have to re-apply twice in a day depending on how much I’ve been eating and drinking. This is also part of my winter project pan.

MAC shadow in Soft Brown- This shadow, I love the shadow as a crease color, or to blend out another color. I have recently been using just this in my crease only with primer and set that with translucent powder. Like I said before with the Porefessional, this shadow has been part of my quick 5 minute out the door look. If you want to see a post of my current 5 minute routine, let me know!

E.L.F. H.D. Undereye Setting Powder- I LOVE LOVE LOVE this powder! That’s all I have to say. It sets my concealer well, doesn’t crease and brightens up the under eye area.

MAC shadow in All That Glitters- This shadow is the perfect quick wash of color on the lids. Sometimes I use just this on my lids and go, or I’ll pair it with Soft Brown for a warm “smoky” look.

Other Favorites

My Fitness Pal- I downloaded this app to my phone, the free version. I use this app to log my food and my exercise. What I love about this app is that it shows nutrition information of what you eat, counts your steps, AND you can connect with friends for accountability.

My Gym- A few months ago I signed up at my local Planet Fitness. Mine is still relatively new. It opened about 3-4 years ago. It is clean and well lit, and every time I’m there a staff member is coming out of the locker room from cleaning it. Another thing that I love about it, is that everyone is in their own world. I was never big on going to the gym, I was actually scared to go. During the month of March, I started making it a priority to get to the gym. I’m starting out slow and doing 30 minutes on the treadmill at least 3 times a week.

That’s it!That is what I’ve been loving this month.  What have you been loving this month? I can’t believe it is almost April! Have a great week! See you in my next post.
