Peaches and Berry Makeup Look

Hello lovelies! Today’s post is a little bit different, since I haven’t shared any go to looks in awhile. So I’ve chosen to share my go to look for the winter and my favorite winter trend. Also with Valentine’s Day coming up, I thought to go searching for some inspiration.  I searched through the Adore Me site to find some inspiration of what my go to look would be paired with one of their bra and panty sets. I kept coming back to the Fiona Contour Plus set. The set is sweet and girly and yet at the same time is beautiful and sexy. Let me jump right in and share my look with you.

Traditionally when it comes to eyes, I go straight for neutral shades, creamy champagne shimmer on the lids and browns in the crease, with black liner. I felt that my normal look would be a bit too harsh to go with the Fiona set. I kept getting creamy and peachy vibes. I took a look into my collection to see what I could come up with. This is what I came up with.

I primed my face with Hourglass Ambient Light-Correcting Primer in Mood Light. A little color correcting and concealing with the Maybelline Mastercamo color correcting kit, Covergirl’s Ready, Set Gorgeous Foundation in 110 and the Maybelline Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser in the Neutralizer shade under the eyes.

On my eyes, I primed with the Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden and set it with Bisque from the Lorac Mega Pro 2 palette. All the shadows came from the Mega Pro 2 palette except for one. I went into the crease with Melon and blended it slightly upwards. Then placed Sorbet directly into the crease, and was much more careful in blending this out, allowing only a little to go in the outer v. In the inner corner and all over the lid I put Peony. I really wanted to incorporate the shade Flamingo from the Smashbox Light It Up Trio. It is a beautiful peachy pink shade that reminds me a lot of Nars Orgasm blush. I used Flamingo on the outer half of my lid. Liner was the Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Pencil in Sable Brown, used lightly along the lash line as well as in the tight line and water line. I smoked out the lower lash line just a bit using Melon and Sorbet to tie the whole look together. I keep my brows super simple and use the Maybelline Brown Drama in Deep Brown.

I went on to finish my face, using Nars blush in Orgasm and highlight with Becca’s Champagne Pop. I set my face with the Urban Decay All-Nighter setting spray. I then applied my L’Oreal Voluminous Superstar 2-Step mascara on the upper and lower lash line. I couldn’t decide which direction of lip I wanted to go with. So I chose more of a daytime option and an evening option.

My Daytime Option:

Covergirl Katy Kat Matte in Sphynx and Maybelline Velvet Matte in 10 Nude Flush
Covergirl Katy Kat Matte in Sphynx and Maybelline Velvet Matte in 10 Nude Flush

I chose these shades because it definitely is more in my comfort zone. While the eyes are more on the peachier side I feel like the lips complement them very well. Also, peachy lipsticks just don’t look that great on me.

My Evening Option:

Maybelline Coloursensational Matte in 660 Touch of Spice
Maybelline Coloursensational Matte in 660 Touch of Spice

I chose Touch of Spice as my evening option. In the tube it looks more of a peachy nude, but on my lips it takes on more of a brown-berry shade. I also love that its not a deep berry.

There you have it! My look inspired by the Fiona Contour Plus bra and panty set by Adore Me. Don’t forget to check out Adore Me for their selection of bra and panty sets, pajamas or workout attire for more inspiration. Have a fantastic week!

Lorac Mega Pro Palette 2

Happy Friday the 13th!! I’m very excited about this post because this is my very first item from Lorac ever. Last week while I was walking around Ulta trying to find the perfect gift for my sister’s 21st birthday, I saw that they still had the Lorac Mega Pro Palette 2. I don’t know if any of you remember when the first one came out. It sold out very quickly and was very difficult to get a hold of. I know I was bummed when I couldn’t find it.

A little about the palette. It has 32 shadows, 16 mattes and 16 shimmers. One of my favorite things about the overall packaging is the tips included on the back of the box. There are three different eye shadow looks. One is strictly matte, one is strictly shimmer, and the third is a combination of both. I also love the shade of blue used.  Also, all of the shadows can be used wet or dry. I am hesitant to use anything wet and dry because I don’t always have the best of luck with it.

My overall opinion of the layout and the variety of shades offered are amazing. There are plenty of neutrals, to create endless neutral everyday looks. Now for the fun colors as I like to call them. I am normally a nude, neutral eye look type girl. This palette makes me really excited to try out something new and out of my comfort zone. At first glance, I’m really excited to start playing around with melon, tangerine, forest, goji, cabernet, blue quartz and gold leaf. I have a feeling that gold leaf will be used a ton this holiday season!

Have you tried this palette out yet? What are your thoughts? I hope that you enjoy this intro to the palette. Look out for new looks and a full review coming soon!! Have a great weekend!
