MOD: Blackhawks Parade and Rally

Hi gals! Today I thought I would share a little bit of my experience and the makeup I wore to the parade and rally a couple of days ago. Since I’ve been trying out a new foundation and mascara, I figured this would give me a really good idea how they will perform in high heat and humidity.

Long story short of me getting there…I was meeting up with a friend down there and after we both had some train troubles, I got there in plenty of time and waited for my friend. She ended up having a worse time getting there than I did. With that aside I managed to get down to the Art Institute and since it wasn’t too crowded there I stayed there. The crowd was intense but it wasn’t so out of control that police would have to intervene. Everyone was excited and pumped at the accomplishment of the Hawks. Now on to the products I used on my face for the day.

I put my makeup on at about 8:15am. My goal was to check in during the parade, during the rally, during lunch/dinner and when I got home. I took a photo first thing after I put on my makeup but the photo came out horrible. After the train craziness in the morning the rest of the day didn’t go as planned either.

This photo was taken at about 10:45am. I noticed some settling in my pores. The foundation was completely off of my forehead thanks to the heat and wearing a hat. After a couple of hours and considering the heat and humidity it didn’t look too bad.

At the end of the day: The aftermath when I came home and just wanted to go to sleep, but it was only 6:30pm. =( I took a quick look to see what my face looked like. The foundation completely settled into my pores, sweated off, or was kind of flaking off of my skin(it was weird).

As far as the rest of my makeup, it pretty much lasted all day, including the non-waterproof mascara. Of course the lip gloss wore off by the time I hit the museum. I grabbed a coffee at the train station, boy did I need it! My eyeshadow kind of disappeared a bit. I had a contact issue at some point and I was rubbing my eye. O well. Considering it was about 85 degrees out and the humidity was absolutely insane. I was happy I didn’t come home looking like a clown or like I got punched in the face.

If you want a more in depth review on the foundation, let me know. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Congratulations Chicago Blackhawks!
