SURPRISE!!! BLOGMAS 2017 BEGINS TOMORROW!

Hello lovelies! I know I’ve been a little bit MIA the last couple of weeks. I wanted to spend as much time as I could with my family and others close to me the week of Thanksgiving. As the title of this post clearly states. I will be doing Blogmas again this year. It starts tomorrow December 1st and will go until December 31st. I would love to hear from you and what you would like to see during Blogmas. Anything from beauty favorites, Christmas and holiday favorites, recipes that I’ve tested out, traditions, and everything in between. I hope that you all have a wonderful December, stay warm, have fun, and close out 2017 with a bang!

My Go to Fall Look

Hello lovelies! Welcome back! Today I’m sharing my go to daytime look for fall. I’ve worn this look running errands, going to work and everything in between. With this look I am able to complete it in about 10-15 minutes.  If I’m running really late, I will eliminate a few steps, such as the eye brow pencil, the eye shadow, and sometimes even the mascara.

On my face:

  • Smashbox Photo Finish Pore Minimizing Primer
  • Becca Backlight Priming Filter
  • Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation in Soft Beige

On my eyes:

  • Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Eden
  • Mac eyeshadow in Soft Brown
  • Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Pencil in Perversion in the water line
  • Urban Decay Perversion Mascara

On my brows:

  • E.L.F. brow pencil in Neutral Brown
  • Maybelline BrowDrama Sculpting Brow Mascara in Deep Brown

On my lips:

  • Blistex Silk & Shine Lip Balm

  • NYX butter gloss in Creme Brulee

  • Maybelline Color Jolt Lip Paint in 05 Stripped Down

I’ve been bouncing around between the three different lip options. For the most part I would choose depending on the happenings of the day. If I’m going to work during the day I’ll opt for the lip balm or lip gloss. If I am working an evening even I will go for the lip paint.

That’s everything for my everyday fall make up look.  What is your go to look? Have you already written a post about it? Share it in the comments. I would love to check it out. Have a great weekend and I’ll see you in my next post!

November Play! by Sephora Unboxing

Hello lovelies! Today I’m sharing everything that I got in my November Play box. I loved last months box, so I’m really excited to dig in and see what this month’s box has to offer. I will keep this post short and sweet as I’m currently trying to reformat the way I am going to be doing unboxings.

November’s box theme is Survival of the Chillest. I’m guessing that the items in this box will be all about taking a moment out of your day and have some me time or a treat me item. In the box there is the little pamphlet that lists everything that came in my box, BUT on the other side it is a coloring page. I think that is a cool and unique idea.

PRODUCTS

MARC JACOBS Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara Retails: $26

PHILOSOPHY Purity Made Simple Pore Extractor Mask Retails: $35

AMIKA Perk Up Dry Shampoo Retails: $22

SEPHORA COLLECTION Rouge Cream Lipstick in The Red Retails: $12.50

FARMACY Honey Drop Lightweight Moisturizer Retails: $45

BURBERRY My Burberry Blush Retails:$29-$120

That’s everything that came in my November Play box. I am really excited to try out everything. When I found out the Marc Jacobs mascara was going to be in this month’s box, I was excited because I had been wanting to try it out. I have about 5 other mascara to still try out before purchasing a brand new one. I’m also excited about the pore extracting mask, the dry shampoo and the lipstick (still looking for the perfect red). The moisturizer I don’t not like getting one, but I feel like I get a new moisturizer in every box that I get. The Burberry fragrance is nice, but not my cup of tea. It’s a beautiful floral with a slight sweetness to it.

5 Books I Want to Read

Hello lovelies! How is everyone doing? I know I have been primarily focused on beauty and skin care on my blog. Today I’m venturing out a bit. As you can tell by the title, I’m sharing 5 books that I want to read. One of my goals for 2017 was to do more reading. As a kid I was reading books faster than I could get my hands on a new one. I was often going to my local library to get books. Nowadays I often read on my Kindle, which I received as a birthday gift about 5 or 6 years ago. The convenience of having it to read as many books as I’d like is great, but nothing beats holding the actual book.  Time for me to stop rambling and jump into the books on my list.

Walden on Wheels: On the Open Road from Debt to Freedom by Ken Ilgunas

Big Girl: How I Gave Up Dieting and Got a Life by Kelsey Miller

The Woman I Wanted to Be by Diane von Furstenburg

Fat Girl Walking: Sex, Food, Love, and Being Comfortable in Your Skin by Brittany Gibbons

Reshaping it All by Candace Cameron Bure

As you can tell by the titles of these books, each book is completely different. What made me want to read the above books, is that each book can relate to a different part of my life, OR after reading a sample I found the book interesting and would like to read it. Do you have a book list that you want to read? What are some of your favorites? What do you suggest I add to my book list? Share in the comments below. Have a great weekend and I’ll see you in my next post!

October: the Loved and the Unloved

Hello lovelies! Today I’m sharing with you everything that I’ve loved and a couple of things that were unloved. To keep this post from getting too long, let’s jump right in. I’m going to start with the unloved items because I have only two this month. The first one is the colder weather. I’m not at all prepared for this weather change. The one thing I love about this cold weather is big baggy sweaters and the perfect excuse to light a candle and binge watch Hallmark Christmas movies. The next unloved item for the month of October is being sick. There’s nothing much to say about that is that whatever I had knocked me out for over a week. On to the loved items.

THE LOVED

BUMBLE & BUMBLE DON’T BLOW IT (HAIR) STYLER- This was in my favorites last month and it made a return appearance this month, because it really is that good. I got about 8-10 uses of the deluxe sample size that I received in a Play box. It is already in my cart to repurchase during the Sephora VIB sale.

BATH & BODY WORKS CANDLE IN HOT COCOA & CREAM- I love, love, love this candle! I burned through this candle so quickly. I burned it a few hours every single day for a couple of weeks. This candle gives the room you’re burning in it a warm, sweet and cozy feel. So many times I burned this while it was raining outside and it just changed the whole aura of the room.

DISNEY JUNGLE CAT MUG- This mug I bought at the Animal Kingdom Resort and Lodge in the gift shop about 5 or 6 years ago. It is a bit of an oversized mug, which I love for a big cup of coffee, tea or now that we are approaching the holiday season, a huge cup of hot chocolate with all of the fixings. yummmmm!!!

URBAN DECAY PERVERSION MASCARA- This mascara has quickly become my favorite everyday mascara. It goes on quick and easy and provides just enough volume and length appropriate for the office. To remove it, it does come off pretty easy. The one thing that I notice, that I try not to do all the time. If  you happen to fall asleep and not remove your makeup, this will end up under your eyes.

There you have it. My loved and unloved for the month of October. What are your loved items or even unloved items for the month? I would love to know! Have a great day. I’ll see you in my next post.
