Welcome to my October favorites! October was a pretty busy month for me. I was very quick and simple with my routine. I have a few items that I want to share, that were easy to make myself feel a little more put together.
You’ve seen me mention the Revlon Nearly Naked foundation. It naturally evens out my skin tone, while it doesn’t always cover up blemishes or scars, I am happy with the coverage. It also doesn’t cake up or wear off throughout the day.
My Nars duo with Orgasm blush and Laguna bronzer, is by far my holy grail product. I have put quite a dent into Laguna, I’m about to hit pan. I am excited about that because I’ve never hit pan on anything before! Orgasm blush, I think looks great on everyone and for myself works for almost every occasion!
Now this next product isn’t part of my everyday quick look, but it has quickly become almost a staple for when I want to bump up my look just a bit. I’m talking about the Becca higlighter by Jaclyn Hill in Champagne Pop. I’ve used it as a highlighter and as an eye shadow. It is just the perfect all around color and multi-use product.
For a quick and easy lip option, I’m a big fan of lip glosses. I probably own more than one person needs to own all in a similar shade of a nude-ish pink. My two favorites this month are the NYX’s Butter Gloss in Creme Brulee, and Rimmel’s new Oh My Gloss! in 160 Stay My Rose. They are both very different. Creme Brulee is a creamy, lightly moisturizing and fairly opaque. I can easily put this on without a mirror and not worry about it ending up all over my face. The Rimmel, is still a newer product that I own. It is a on the sheer side, but I absolutely love this color!
The last two products have been game changers for me. The first is the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray. While I have only used this a handful of times, I can tell that it definitely works. The biggest test with this was a friends wedding. My makeup looked almost perfect at the end of a long night of dancing. The second product is by Nailtiques. It is their oil therapy. It is a nail and cuticle oil. I’ll be the first to admit that I get lazy with putting lotion on my hands and taking care of my cuticles. With winter just around the corner, this has saved my nails and cuticles for the last year. Just after using it 2-3 times in one has transformed and improved my cuticles. This ranges between $9-$10, which for purchasing this well over a year ago, I think is a pretty good deal. I think If I were to use this a couple of times a day, everyday I would probably purchase two bottles a year. I don’t know about you but $20 a year for great and healthy cuticles is pretty darn good. An additional plus is that it smells great too!
Those are my October favorites. I hope that you enjoyed today’s post. What have you been loving? Please share!! Have a great weekend!!
